I came to By Design out of sheer frustration. — just years and years of poor dental work and wanted a long-term solution. So, ever since my second teeth came in (my permanent teeth came in), my enamel started flaking off. So, I don’t ever remember a time where I didn’t have something wrong with my teeth. There was no judgment on how I had taken care of my teeth previously or what I was going to need — the extent of work I was going to need. They made me feel very at home and comfortable with the whole process.

When the office first told me about the All-on-4, of course, I was nervous about having all of my top teeth pulled out. I feel that I’m too young for dentures. It was a scary idea. I was thinking that it was going to be painful, that this was going to be out of work for a week at least. For an All-on-4, the procedure includes removing all of the top teeth, putting in four implant posts, and then they made a temporary design where they put it on, so when I left, I left with a full set of teeth. They told me they were going to help me take care of the finances. They were going to make sure that I had the support that I needed during the process and were painstakingly careful about every single step.

I felt very comfortable here. From the first day when I walked into the waiting room — another woman had just finished her process, and she was hugging the dentist, and I thought that was really strange. Who hugs their dentist? But I hugged my dentist when I was done.

So, the procedure was surprisingly easy. I knew that everyone I had spoken to said it was a piece of cake and three days of healing time, and I still had these reservations, but it was more than accurate. It was spot on. And, I went home, and the next day I was surprised. I came in here for my follow up, and I was able to talk, and it was comfortable, and there was no pain — none. That was my first positive dental visit in my history of my life. I wanted to cry because he said, “Good job,” and I never heard that in regards to my teeth, so that was exciting.

Dr. Thaler is very calming. He will listen to you. You can tell him what your fears are. Every time I come here, no matter who is greeting me at the door, they know my name. If I’d spoken to them before, and I’d shared a story about my children, they remember that story. There’s something just so personal about each person, so you can’t help but feel like they’re here just for you. I would definitely recommend here — as a matter of fact, I have. I couldn’t think of sending someone anywhere else. It’s throughout the procedure and the care that you get after the fact. There’s just not one aspect of this entire procedure that I have even a minute complaint about. It’s just been perfect from day one. I was told that my bones in my upper and lower mouth were disintegrating, and my teeth were loose, and I had 2 options: one was to either get dentures, or implants. Dentures were not even a consideration because I certainly did not want to take my teeth out daily, and then, of course, there’s implants. My vanity said that when I smiled, I wanted it to look like it was my teeth, and since I’m a teacher in front of children all day, I didn’t want anyone making fun of me.

So I was recommended by my neighborhood dentist about Dr. Mogyoros, and I went to visit him, and that is the beginning of my new life, my new smile, my new face. Cost was a very, very big factor; Dr. Mogyoros was very kind, I was able to pay it out, and this lessened the burden of me worrying about money. No one enjoys having cavities filled and getting shots of Novocaine, but again, as you get older, you realize certain things are a necessary.

I have to tell you, they did something that was unheard of. One of my initial appointments, which was a long one, and I was here many hours, one of the staff said, “I’m going to go out and get you some frozen custard so you can take a break and eat something, you’ve been sitting in that chair for hours.” Where do you get people that think of me, respect my time, that my time is valuable, respect my comfort level? Many times you go to a doctor and you sit there for hours and spend five minutes with the physician.

When I met Dr. Mogyoros, I saw this very young, handsome man and I thought, “Oh no, they’re giving me the kid to work on me because I’m a new patient.” I was so wrong. He is caring and wonderful, has a beautiful sense of humor, and he can lighten up if I would get nervous, he would just make me relaxed. He would tell me a joke. It’s gotten to the point where I consider Dr. Mogyoros my friend.

What I appreciate about Dr. Mogyoros is he would call in Rand from the lab, and he would say to him, “Look how she does this, look how she says this. Make sure that when you make her teeth, that this is noticeable, and this is not noticeable.” He totally cared about my appearance. I want to add that Dr. Thaler and Dr. Mogyoros both worked so diligently on my mouth. They made sure that my speech was not affected; they made sure that my smile was normal, my gum level was correct. I never saw two people so interested in my mouth as they were that they tried so hard to make everything perfect, and they succeeded.

I cannot say I was ever in pain—uncomfortable a little bit—but never in pain. I eat corn on the cob, I can bite into chicken, I can actually take a bite of an apple and do not have to cut it in pieces. I came to By Design because I was in desperation of having something done with my teeth. I never had any fear about going to the dentist because I’ve been to the dentist so many times in my life. When I was 12, I got my braces off, and after that, all I had was decay. Every time I went to the dentist, every six months, I’d have more decay. Well, in time, it got so bad it also affected my front teeth.

I actually saw the procedure on a sign in Dr. Mogyoros’ office when I had my daughter there to have her wisdom teeth extracted. For 28 teeth on the top, that’s an awful lot of implants, it’s an awful lot of time, and it’s an awful lot of money. But in comparison to the cost of the dental implants for 28 teeth, it was certainly much, much better. I thought, “Well, I’ll talk to my dentist about it, and we’ll get started.”

So my regular dentist agreed with me, and I met with Dr. Mogyoros; it was like he was a brother to me. When he looked at all my X-rays, and he was talking about what he could do for me, it almost looked like he was having the problem himself because he was so sincere. He was very warm and empathetic and caring, and he just wanted me to be happy and understand what I was going to have done to me.

Dr. Thaler is also a wonderful, wonderful, kind man with a very gentle touch. He was very patient to make sure that everything was all even, to make sure that my bite was good, that there were no rough spots, and that I was 100% comfortable. And I really appreciated that because he never rushed me, and he answered all my questions, and he happens to be one of the nicest dentists I’ve ever met. Rand from the lab, he works really, really hard with you, making sure that your teeth are the way you want them to be, and your smile is the way you want your smile to be.

The procedure itself really wasn’t bad; it wasn’t bad at all. Dr. Mogyoros said I would never leave his office without teeth in my mouth, so that put me at ease right away. I would recommend this procedure, not to be apprehensive about it because the result is exactly what you’re going to want. I would recommend By Design; for me, it was like a miracle for me. If I had another 28 teeth, I would come back again, but thankfully, I don’t.

I’d exhausted all avenues I had for dental work. I had bridges; I had everything. So I had a good friend who’s a dentist, and he says, “You should look into dental implants.” One of the things that was my concern was the cost. But when I looked at the product—and there was some other people who had work done here—and everyone seemed to be really happy with the results.

When I came here and I went around the facilities, and each step-by-step-by-step is explained to you, from the lab work, from the imaging that they do with your mouth, from every step along the way, you’re informed on what’s happening, and all the anxiety is relieved. So the process of healing becomes simple. Later on, after the initial one, there really isn’t much pain. I mean, you have to adjust to your implants; that happens. I kid with my wife, I have to practice smiling; I had stopped smiling. Not that I consciously stopped smiling, I just didn’t smile, and it became how it was for me. Then, when I got my temporaries, people would say how well they looked; in fact, most people were amazed that they were temporaries.

There’s a lot involved in making a choice to have your teeth removed and a whole other set—I have upper and lowers—and it seems totally radical. It seems, like, beyond what you would think; it’s like bionic. By Design here just has a design that works; I can call them up, I can come here, I can get adjusted, I can get a cleanse. You find something that works, and it’s good, and you want to share that with other people. They have this wonderful 3D machine that scopes you out for the process, and once that started, I realized I was committed to this; this was something that I was committed to for my own life, for my own wellbeing, for how I felt. And there was no place where I was sold on anything except what I was actually looking to get for myself, and that was a very important process for me here.

I wanted to be able to smile; I wanted to be able to feel comfortable. I actually wanted to be able to chew food that I hadn’t been chewing, and all that has taken place. People always say to me, “Where’d you get it done?” I got this work done at By Design Dental. Would I recommend it? Yes, of course, I would recommend it. I’m really happy, other people are happy, my wife’s happy, my kids are happy. And now I’m still practicing smiling.

I have had medical problems my whole life, and I’ve been on a lot of different medications which did a number on my teeth. In the last year and a half, I broke the very first tooth in the front; I cracked the other two about four away. I was missing a tooth, and then I had a broken crown, so I was down five teeth. My dentist refused to give me dentures. The tooth that broke in the front, my dentist sent me to an oral surgeon, and I got a post to get an implant. A month later, the tooth three teeth away from that broke and then a month later, the one on the other side broke, and the implants were so expensive, and if I measure the cost of all the implants that I would need, it really wasn’t cost-efficient.

I saw the commercial for By Design on television, got so excited, and I checked them out online, I loved everything, I made an appointment right away. They told me that they have a two-year, 0% interest company, and that is perfect for me. It was really affordable; my husband was happy with that. I was worried about the pain, but I knew they do anesthesia—they do Novocaine. Dr. Mogyoros was fabulous because he…my mother was very impressed that he was very concerned about my medical situation and doing the procedure in an office instead of a hospital. But after we did testing and everything, my mother was—and my husband—they felt so much better knowing that the doctors here cared enough to make sure everything was okay before they would do the procedure.

He was willing to work with me in the chair and everything, and he was just so knowledgeable about everything, my medications and how they affected my teeth and gums and everything. He’s just so knowledgeable and works so well with the other doctors; it was just wonderful around. They were willing to work with me to make it as comfortable as possible, and they were wonderful about making sure I was okay, every few minutes they check, and they updated my family like every ten minutes. It was only one day of pain, as opposed to getting an implant here, an implant there, it just wouldn’t be worth it pain-wise.

I am thrilled with the end result on this. I can’t be happier. I tell everybody everywhere I go that this is the place; it’s an immediate gratification. Everything is done beautifully, everybody worked together, and the office is the best office in the world. Everybody is so nice. By Design is the best office; I am so glad I found them, and once I came to my consultation and met everybody, my mind was made up. This was definitely the place to go. I tell everybody they are so wonderful here. I love the staff; I said when I come back, I said, “Jamie has given me so much good information about how to take care of my teeth. I would just work here if I could,” I said. Because these are like my new extended family. The people are so wonderful here.

My former dentist, who I adore, had given me some options about dental implants, and they were one-at-a-time, and I would be without a tooth for a whole year for each tooth that was going to be put in my mouth, and to me that wasn’t an option. I’m 58 years old; I don’t have 100 years left, so I wanted my smile back as fast as possible.

A friend of mine – actually a client of mine’s husband — came here, and I saw some “befores” and heard some stories and was quite interested and came to discover what it was about. I was extremely frightened, yes, and I remember them explaining to me. I thought, “Of course, I’m going to be a nightmare,” and “What if my gums or bones didn’t accept something?” He goes, “Well, there’s always plan b,” and they have a second option, so I was so comfortable.

I’m actually on a program that is interest-free for two years, and it’s not even a year yet, and it’s almost paid off. The doctors are great; they make me laugh. I think I make them laugh — you never know what’s going to come out of my mouth, so I have the whole place going. Dr. Thaler — well, he’s always happy, kind of like me. He first asked if there was any concerns as he wheels up on his little stool there, and the girls usually have everything set and ready, and we chat for a minute, and it’s wonderful. It’s really like – he does do the business part first to make sure there’s no complaints or issues that I may have.

So I prepared for 3 days and had somebody come stay with me because I live alone and took off of work, and honestly, it was fun. I mean, after I slept it off the first day, I had lots of ice cream and all kinds of soft foods; that was kind of weird at first, but it was no problem at all. I took basically Advil; believe it or not, it was not at all painful. I was quite surprised. I would totally recommend By Design; I swear by them, trust me.

All my life, I’ve been stressed out about losing teeth and having soft teeth, and they told me that it would just get worse because there wasn’t anything I could do because they were soft. My bones were good, my gums were good, but the teeth were soft, and I felt like I was just stressed — since 8th grade, I’ve been stressed because I had been hit in the face with a baseball, and I had to have a big cap put on one tooth and then it just seemed like it was progressively slowly going downhill no matter what I did.

And I think I’ve spent close to two houses — if I could have bought two houses — on my teeth over the years since I’ve been little. I was getting — I had a partial, and then my other dentist wanted to do some implants and had never done them before, and I was a little nervous about that, and then he told me one price and it was another, and it was going to take a year to do two. And I thought, “This is ridiculous. I feel like that commercial where the guy had never worked on a transmission before.”

I called By Design Dental and made an appointment, and I talked to Jamie, and they said the first appointment would take an hour, and I could not think of why I would be sitting there for an hour and this was going to be hard, and maybe they were going to try and hard sell me, and they weren’t at all. Jamie was so informative and so thorough. The research I did here, and the more I talk, and more x-rays, and they’re explaining to me what they wanted to do, exactly what I thought I needed, I could do it now, or I could do it a year from now; it’s my decision. I talked to my husband, and we figured out a way to do this.

The hardest thing was is thinking, “Oh my God, I’m taking all the teeth out of the top of my mouth; I’m going to look like Gabby Hayes,” and I thought, “I can’t think about it that way. It’ll be a permanent structure in my mouth, it’s screwed in, it’s not coming out.” And these people were gentle, they were thorough. They told me what was going to happen, and it did. And I probably surprised them by healing as fast as I did, and I wish I had done this 10 years ago, but I think I was too scared, and maybe younger, and kept thinking there was a better way; I didn’t know about this way.

Yeah, now I have the permanent teeth in there, and I don’t slur anything when I talk, and I don’t even know they’re there, can eat anything I want. I’m very happy with the process, and I’m very happy with the doctors. Everybody here is terrific; I just want to take them all home with me. They are so nice. I smile now! I kept my mouth shut before.

I had already had two implants in that were done the traditional way, and then I found out that this healing process is way quicker than the traditional one. As a college professor, I did a lot of research before I came here. One of the reasons I came here was because when I talked to my primary care dentist, she had known all of the doctors – Dr. Thaler, she knew Rand Jaslow, she knew Dr. Mogyoros – and so she recommended them, so that’s what made me interested. I knew what the cost was going to be; I knew the ballpark of the cost. There were other ways I could mitigate the cost, for example if I had decided to do some dental tourism, that would have made up for it. But to me that didn’t make a lot of sense because I wanted the follow-up in case something happens.

What bothered me more was that it would be more surgically intrusive like into my sinuses or hitting nerves or something like that. That was my big fear, and before we even got started, Dr. Mogyoros took an x-ray, he saw where everything was, he showed me where all of the dental implants would go, where he would be working, and he put that fear aside pretty quickly. First day we got here, he let me know that we wouldn’t have any of those kinds of problems.

Oh, the staff was great – you were old friends the moment you walked in the door. Dr. Mogyoros knows what he’s doing; he has an extensive background in what he does, and as I said before my primary care dentist knew of him and recommended him highly as well. Dr. Thaler was good, too. As he was cataloguing my teeth, what were already in there, he was describing what was in my mouth, and then I told him who my dentist was, he actually knew what procedure she used, what techniques she used. He was able to call out those by name, and it surprised me that they knew each other and that they’re so well known by each other. Dr. Thaler has a very calming manner. He seems quite knowledgeable as well.

Probably the biggest deciding factor of me coming here was talking to Rand. When I sat and talked with Rand, I discovered that he had the procedure as well, so it gave me confidence that I was doing the right thing, that I was doing a reputable thing. He sat down and talked with me, and it made me feel as if they weren’t doing this to me, they were doing it with me. I don’t know, there was something about their procedure that was just smoother. It wasn’t as abrupt; even coming out of it, I wasn’t as groggy, so whatever sedation technique they used seemed to ease me in and ease me out pretty well.

Even with the provisional dentures, I’m better than what I was before I had the operation, before I had the oral surgery. I can eat things I couldn’t eat, I look a lot better, my hygiene is better. What is it that you’re afraid of? Are you afraid of the pain? There is none. If you’re afraid of the price, it’s not cheap, but if you’re not spending it on your health, what are you spending it on? Do yourself a favor and get this done. It’s easier to groom, it’s easier to eat, all of those things come through. If you live in this area, near Wrightstown, PA, you have to check these people out.

I came to By Design because I desperately needed to get some upper implants, and I had been putting it off for a long time and had seen some advertisements on By Design, and I thought I’d come here and see what they could do for me. When I had a bridge in my mouth, initially it was fine, but over time the splint or bridge that was in my mouth started to fail. And as it failed, I became more and more self-conscious of the way my upper teeth looked. As far as fear of the dentist, I have a dental record that looks like the white pages. I, for years, tried to take good care of my teeth and had many procedures done only to have more and more things fail, get more and more discouraged.

Dr. Mogyoros was just very straightforward about what I needed to do, and he really was one of the folks who made me realize that this was the right place to come to. When I first heard about the cost, it did make me a little nervous, but when I talked to the consultants here, they gave me some options for financing part of it, so I did some of it in cash, and I financed some with no interest, and it turned out to be just perfect for me.

Dr. Thaler is very kind and compassionate; he makes you feel very comfortable as far as talking about the way your dental implants should look and feel. He just has a very mild, gentle manner about him that makes you feel very comfortable through the whole procedure. Rand is a great guy; Rand works with you in regards to how you want your teeth to look, the shape that they should be, the color they should be. I actually brought in pictures of people I thought had nice-looking teeth that would fit mine, and he gave me some very good feedback on what would look good on me and what wouldn’t look good.

I had some concerns about the size of the upper teeth because my bridge had teeth that looked very large to me, and he was able to work with that and give me a product that I was very, very happy with. I was a little bit worried about the pain, but the staff here assured me that after the first couple days I would be feeling pretty good and wouldn’t really require a whole lot of pain medication, and indeed they were correct; I did fine afterwards. I absolutely would recommend By Design to anyone who is considering having implants done near Doylestown, PA. It’s a great place.

Hi, my name is Herb. My teeth were actually starting to flake and fall apart, just basically deteriorating. I found By Design Dental when I was over at the King of Prussia Plaza and they offered the opportunity to come over to their office and get a 360 degree x-ray and then through that they were able to show me what they were capable of doing to put new implants in my mouth.

When I came to By Design Dental, I was apprehensive like most people are about coming to the dentist, but after sitting down and talking with Dr. Mogyoros and Dr. Thaler, I can’t say more about them. They’re very conscientious, very caring. They explained everything to me and I really felt comfortable in getting the work done. I can’t say more about the process. Believe it or not, I had hardly any pain. Discomfort yes, but as far as pain goes, I literally had no pain at all.
