Dr. Lawrence Levin is an oral, maxillofacial, and dental implant surgeon who has practiced dental surgery in the Philadelphia, PA area for more than 20 years. At ByDesign Dental Specialists, he specializes in tooth extractions, dental implant surgery, biopsies, bone grafting, and orthognathic surgery. Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Dr. Levin became interested in dentistry and medicine and found a way to combine his interest in both professions by attending a dual-degree program at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned his medical degree and graduated a year early from dental school at the top of his class. After receiving his doctorate degrees, Dr. Levin completed a general surgery internship and an oral and maxillofacial residency. He continued his training at the University of Pennsylvania where he became a full-time faculty member in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery, serving as division chief and interim chairman and earning the rank of emeritus professor. In the past 20 years, Dr. Levin has also served as chief of oral surgery and specialist in corrective jaw surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Both a kind and knowledgeable physician as well as fantastically gifted surgeon. My daughter needed a surgery and Dr Levin performed the procedure. She basically had no pain and there was not even a scar during or after recovery. Fairly invasive procedure as well. Only good things to say about Dr Levin.
